If it have indeed shifted the terrain around Eldenbaum, then we should be seeing the roots twisted horizontally in a vortex way, or much less natural at the very least, rather than near-straight to the hole edges. Remember, Eldenbaum was always above said hole, the tree can't be affected by the Cataclysm, only terrain. I think of Ouvel more as a rotten/Frankenstein's monster-like Nurethoth at first glance, since I played Toram first. To be fair, I was referring to the overall physique, a large torso & large arms.
